You'd think a sealed box from a factory is fine. I've learned to check the model label, firmware revision, and included accessories as soon as the pallet arrives.

The most frustrating part: the same model number can have different firmware versions depending on when it was manufactured. You'd think one model number is enough. It isn't. I once saw a unit that passed our visual inspection but had a rapid shutdown error because the firmware didn't match the UL certification data sheet.
